"I am not a camper in any sense of the word… but to drift along in this fashion… passing sandy beaches and on either side, the sharply creased mountain sides, fragrant with vanilla-scented ponderosa pines, was completely tranquilizing....It was true that the food was delicious, the amount of work expected from us nonexistent, the accommodations almost luxurious, the scenery unbelievable...."
Tama Janowitz - Bon Appetit Magazine

"White water and red wines are the stars of two expeditions... from Idaho's Salmon River Outfitters. Spend days shooting the rapids and nights sampling West Coast vintages with dinner."

Weather in June, late Aug. and Sept. is unpredictable. You should come prepared for cold and wet weather.

July and Aug. are hot and sunny months, however you should be prepared for cool and wet weather even in the summer! People dress in layers on the river, taking things on and off as the weather changes.

The following information will help you be prepared for the expected as well as the unexpected events of
your trip. You may not use all of the gear listed below, but we recommend bringing it all, you will have enough room for everything.

personal clothing and items. This bag is NOT accessible during the day as it goes ahead of the group with our gear boat. The dimensions are 3.8 cu.ft; 16?x33?.

We also provide a small personal dry bag for each person that is accessible throughout the day for items such as cameras, eyeglasses, sunscreen, etc.

Clothing Bathing Suits Socks - Wool is best for warmth
Long underwear- polypropylene tops and bottoms are warm, wet or dry, and provide sun protection. Wear them in camp and on the raft under your shorts or rain suit.
